Acting CEO Andy Reakes attended the Acas 50th Anniversary event on the 11 March 2026. The event, held at the Houses of Parliament, was an opportunity to reflect on the vital role the independent public body has played in supporting constructive employment relations across the UK.
As part of its work to improve workplace relations, Acas continues to promote the importance of effective dispute resolution, social partnership and collective bargaining in delivering fair and productive workplaces. These goals align with the JIB Collective Agreement, the values of our member companies and our work to champion fair employment standards, structured workforce development, a strong worker voice and stable industrial relations.
Collaboration between employers, trade unions and government is essential. The JIB is committed working with the ECA and Unite to achieve our ambitions within the electrotechnical industry and to highlight how our successful industry model could be replicated to other sectors.
