Apr 25, 2017

JIB Apprentice Exchange 2017 - BrisbaneThe application process is now open for the JIB's 2017 Apprentice Exchange, which will see a lucky apprentice travel to work in Australia for six weeks later this year.
During the trip they will learn how the electrical contracting industry operates abroad and act as an ambassador for the industry.

Also this year, in September, an apprentice from New York will visit the UK to work with electrical contractors and learn about how our industry operates.

The JIB Apprentice Exchange Programme is organised collaboratively by the JIB, ECA, Unite the Union, JTL and the Electrical Industries Charity.

To be eligible for the exchange, the candidate must be Stage 3 or Stage 4 apprentice, registered with JTL, working for a JIB member (who is also a member of the ECA), and will need to be a member of Unite the Union.
Application forms have been sent to all eligible JTL apprentices. The deadline for entries is 19 May 2017.
Following a shortlisting process, the selection interviews will take place in June and the winner will be announced shortly after. The chosen apprentice will then travel to Brisbane around 14 October and return around the 26 November.
